Smiter monk
Well i've been a 55 monk farming duo with ss for a quite a while and I wanted to change a bit so I decided to get the the build for Smiter monk, which I have right now.
I am not very good right now, although Ive only tried it once with my hero, made her 600, and she survived but we didn't kill anything, just minor damage.
So I was wondering for me a smiter monk, what kind of hp i should have, and what armor, weapons ect. And how could I practice, my hero is an idiot lol, are people willing to let me in the uw for my first time on smiter?
Thanks.

Smiter is easy, you cast the 4 enchants and afk, but you shouldn't 600/smite with a hero if you want to smite, its much easier for you to be the 600 and the hero be the smiter.

If you have EotN, you can go on Cathedral of Flames (CoF) runs, smiting for a 600 runner for practice before trying UW.
I don't believe the smiter needs anything special in the way of equipment. It's the 600 who has special requirements. Check the Campfire monk subforum for builds.

Thx, I cannot be a 600 monk since I don't have factions; can't get spirit bond.
only NF and proh.
But thx for your advice, and ya get some different armor to be 16/16 because my 55 armor is not very good for smiter haha.

For the record, the main reason a hero can not play the 600 is because of their armor. A 600 monk needs as little armor as possible so that he takes as much damage as possible. This triggers spirit bond more and provides more reflective damage from retribution/holy wrath.
Level 20 heroes have a minimum 60 AL, which is far more resilient than a human players 15AL. Therefore they deal very little damage compared via the smite enchants and do not stay alive as well due to spirit bond not triggering.

Heroes can be a Smite Monk since all you need to do is set the enchantments and flag them in a safe place. Heroes can't be an effective 600 as you want the armor as low as possible (which a hero at lvl 20 will be 60AL, not 15AL or lower), and most of the skills are used before aggro, which means heavy micro management if making a Hero run it. Most importantly though, is the 600 MUST have Spirit Bond. Spirit Bond is the key skill that allows a 600 Monk to survive. If you don't own Factions, not even your hero can be a 600 even if you were able to get it to work with 60AL armor.
Find a friend, guildie, or alliance mate to run 600 for you if you want to learn how it works. Smiter is a very easy job - you really do nothing once you set the bonds, unless working against foes that use Reversal of Damage, in which case you want to heal yourself unless taking someone along to heal you.
